Boy: And so?

Girl: I really did.

Boy: okay.

Girl: I’m sorry.

Boy: What for?

Girl: For ignoring your efforts to communicate with me.

Boy: It’s Ok. I got used to it, then I got tired, so I stopped trying and started forgetting.

Girl: Because it tore me apart that we can never be…

Boy: it’s OK.

Girl: Why is it so OK?

Boy: I got used to days hoping you’d be back, but then you never did. I started facing reality, and started to get a move on.

Girl: Wait…am I too late?

Boy: Too late for what?

Girl: To court you?

Boy: You know, I’ve always wanted to hear that from you. Back then, a years ago. But…I got used to only wishing for it…then realized it would never happen, so I stopped hoping.

Girl: I’m really sorry, but don’t worry, this time, I will make your wishes come true.

BOY: That’s not possible. I have got someone in my life…

Girl: It is great for you… Who is she? When I’ll meet her?

BOY: She doesn’t want to meet you any day.

Girl: Why? What I have done to her?

Boy slowly replied )-She just don’t want to meet the one who did hurt me the most… It is my turn to say sorry. Time got into me. You’ve broken my heart already. I can’t risk experiencing that again. Thank you anyway. For communicating with me after a years of silence…

1. Life is short. Be impatient and have a sense of urgency, so that you can achieve everything you want to. Also be stubborn with your time, it’s yours and there is only a finite amount of it.

2. Know what you don’t know. It is more important to recognize the things you don’t know, it will make you a less arrogant decision maker. Nassim Taleb came up with this idea of an anti library, filled with books you’ve never read, on subjects you barely understand.

3. Be careful with how you define your identity. Some people define themselves by their work, or their religion etc. But remember the words of Camus, “A reason to live can quickly become a reason to die”.

4. Be aware of your actions, and form good habits. It becomes very easy to delude yourself into thinking that your doing the right thing, or that you actually have good habits etc. Most people will not realize how their habits are very self destructive, as Warren Buffet said “The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they’re too heavy to be broken”.

5. Realize that nothing matters. In a hundred thousand years from now all of our actions will be insignificant.

6. Be honest with yourself. Sometimes the mind blocks off unpleasant things, so it becomes painful to think about it. But you have to face unpleasant realities, if you want to grow and improve as a person.

7. Read. People who lived thousands of years ago had the very same basic questions of the world we still try to grapple with today. And they’ve written about what they think, so go read it. The accumulated knowledge of mankind is far far greater than what one person can learn/think by themselves in one lifetime, so the quickest way to learn or gain perspective is to read.

8. Be curious. The world is fascinating, ask questions and try to unravel the mysteries! It’s amazing how people get caught up with grades/credentials/promotions etc and don’t even pick up a book to read or take some time off to just sit and think.

9. Realize that not every one is as fortunate as you are (this does not apply to every one). So try to help others out: friends/family/strangers.

10. Most of the time you already know what the right thing to do is, but it’s just that the right thing to do is often the hardest thing to do.

Three months later, the boy had a change of heart. He realized that he really loved the girl, so he went back to her and said, “Give me one more chance. I love you and I need you. I will never hurt you anymore. ”

A Boy proposed his Girl-friend for Marriage..;

Girl: Tell me..; Who do you love most in this world..?

Boy: You, of course!

Girl: What am I to you?

The boy thought for a moment and looked intently in her eyes and said “You are missing part of my heart”.

She smiled, and she accepted his proposal. After their wedding, the couple had a sweet and happy life for a while.

However, the youthful couple began to drift apart due to the busy schedule of life and the never-ending worries of daily problems, their life became difficult. All the challenges posed by the harsh realities of life began to drift away their dreams and love for each other. The couple began to have more quarrels and each quarrel became make their relation more worst.
One day, after the quarrel, the girl ran out of the house. At the opposite side of the road, she shouted, “You don’t love me…!” The boy hated her childishness and out of impulse, said, “May be, it was a mistake for us to be together…!” You were never the missing part of my ____!!!” Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long, while she regretted what he said but words spoken can’t be taken back. With tears in her eyes, she went home to pack her things and before leaving the house, she left a note for him..; “If I’m really not the missing part of your love, let me go and search for someone who is…… It is less painful this way… let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners…!”

Five years went by…. He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and was living her dreams. He use to regret on what he did but never tried to bring her back. In the dark and lonely night, he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn’t bring himself to admit that he was missing her.

One day, they finally met, at the airport, He was going away on a business trip. He saw her, she was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them. She smiled at him gently. Boy: How are you..? Girl: I’m fine. How about you.., have you found your heart’s missing part…? Boy: No. Girl: I’ll be flying to New York in the next flight. Boy: I’ll be back in 2 weeks’ time. Give me a call when you are back, you know my number, Nothing has changed. With a smile, she turned around and waved good-bye. “Good-bye . . .”

Same evening he heard of a plane crash which was headed to New York. He tried to know about her and found that, she died. Midnight… Once again, he lit his cigarette… And like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew, she was that missing part that he had carelessly broken…!!!

Girl: You think? I think you must be mistaken.

Boy: no, I like you

Girl: I don’t think you like me. I think you like the company. I think you like the conversations we have. I think you like that someone listens. You like the feeling that someone is always there for you. But should you remove me from the equation and place someone else in my spot, you would feel the same way. So you see, you like the feeling but not ME.

Boy: Please don’t tell me what I feel. I like you…in fact, I love you.

Girl: Would you do me a favour?

Boy: Anything

Girl: I want you to close your eyes and imagine the following. Imagine yourself in 10 years. I want you to imagine how you look in 10 years. What kind of clothes will you wear. I want you to imagine where you will be working in 10 years. I want you to imagine your family and how they look. I want you to imagine your future car. I want you to imagine your kids on a Saturday afternoon as they play in the backyard. I want you to imagine their first bike ride. I want you to get it all in there.  A Heart Melting Story 

10th grade

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. Shen was my so called “best friend”. I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn’t notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and I handed them to her. She said “thanks” and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I wanted to tell her, I wanted her to know that I don’t want to be just friends, I love her but I’m Just too shy, and I don’t know why…

11th grade

The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broken her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn’t want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me, said “thanks” and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I wanted to tell her, I wanted her to know that I don’t want to be just friends, I love her but I’m Just too shy, and I don’t know why…

Senior year

The day before prom she walked to my locker. My date is sick” she said; he’s not going to go well, I didn’t have a date, and in 7th grade. We made a promise that if neither of us had dates we would go together just as “best friends”. So we did. Prom night, after everything was over. I was standing at her front door step. I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn’t think of me like that, and I knew it. Then she said-Shad the best time, “thanks!’ and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I wanted to tell her, I wanted her to know that I don’t want to be just friends. I love her but I’m just too shy, and I don’t know why…

Graduation Day

A day passed, then a week, then a month and before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an – angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn’t notice me like that, and I knew it. After everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, “you’re my best friend, thanks” and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I wanted to tell her, I wanted her to know that I don’t want to be just friends, I love her but I’m Just too shy, and I don’t know why…

A Few Years later

Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl Is getting married now… I watched her say “I do” and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn’t see like that, and I knew it. Before she drove away, she came to me and said “you came!”. She said “thanks” and kissed me on the cheek.

I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don’t want to be just friends, I love her but I’m just too shy, and I don’t know why.

Funeral

Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my “best friend”. At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read:

“I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn’t notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don’t want to be just friends, I love him but I’m Just too shy, and I don’t know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me! I wish I did too…”

I thought to myself, and I cried.

TRUE LOVE (A Doctor’s note)  

It was approximately 8.30 a.m. on a busy morning when an elderly gentleman in his eighties arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9.00 a.m.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat. I knew it would take more than an hour before someone would to able to attend to him. I saw him check his watch anxiously for the time and decided to evaluate his wound since I was not busy with another patient.

On examination, the wound was well healed. Hence, I talked to one of the doctors to get the supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

We began to engage in a conversation while I was taking care of his wound. I asked him if he had another doctor’s appointment later as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no and said that he needed to go to the nursing home to have breakfast with his wife.

I inquired about her health. He told me that she had been in the nursing home for a while as she was a victim of Alzheimer’s disease. I probed further and asked if she would be upset if he was slightly late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was and she had not been able to recognize him since five years ago.
I asked him in surprise, “And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?”
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, “She doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is.”

I had to hold back my tears as he left.
I had goose bumps on my arm, and I thought, “That is the kind of love I want in my life.”

True love is neither physical nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

Student:”Sir I will explain but 1st answer my questions. “Does the cold exist?”
Professor: Yes.
Student: “You’re wrong sir. There is nothing like cold. It is the complete absence of heat.”

Student asked again,”Does darkness exist?”
Professor: Yes.

Student:”You are again wrong sir. There is nothing like darkness. It is actually the complete absence of light. According to physics we can study light and heat but not darkness and cold. Similarly sir, the evil does not exist.
Actually it is the absence of faith, love and true belief on GOD.”

That student was C.V RAMAN.
So have faith in God.
